Searching the Marketplace

Courses in the FirstForward Marketplace may be found by entering simple keywords. These search terms are used to match against course titles, course descriptions, topic areas, class locations, and the name of the vendor providing the training.

You may further refine the keyword search by including special commands:

  • To match the beginning and end of a word, include * in the middle of a keyword as wildcard (e.g., crim*s)
  • To match a specific phrase, add double quotes (e.g., "in the field")
  • To require words, add + before the word or phrase (e.g., +enforcement)
  • To exclude words, add - before the word or phrase (e.g., -structure)

Except when an exact match is required, the Marketplace search will attempt to match similar words, including partial matches and some misspellings.

Course Information

Our program is designed to guide police officers and civilian employees in their understanding and practice of Peer Intervention and Critical Loyalty as a moral and ethical means to the survival of their life, their family, their career, and their freedom.
IELTB facilitates conversations about the powerful, positive influence that police officers can have on the conduct of their fellow officers. The training prepares and encourages officers to intervene and to allow an intervention when there is the potential for misconduct. Police officers, properly trained in ethical decision making and the tactics of peer intervention, are an essential and often overlooked resource in the effort to prevent misconduct by fellow officers. By teaching “critical loyalty”, how to recognize situations which require ethical decision making, and how to successfully intervene, officers will be prepared psychologically and tactically for peer intervention as an essential part of their professional duties and their own survival.
