This 8 hour course focuses on providing insight into the ideologies of radical Islam and the threats it represents on a national level. Students will familiarize themselves with vital issues seen in the Middle East which have the greatest impact upon US interests and national security. Practical application to assist officers and security personnel in identifying, evaluating, and appropriately countering terrorism. From the foundational pillars of the Islamic faith to profiles of domestic and international terrorist organizations; this course offers a clear-cut explanation of the motives and purpose of radical Islam.
