This course offers concepts and methods to support de-escalation efforts when personal connections can be made by providing a ‘real-world’ approach to active listening, tactful communication and building rapport. This course is a must for any agency looking to ensure theirs officers have a better understanding of human behavior and are trained to respond to and mange conflict in order to avoid a violent confrontation. De-escalation provides officers with skills to help create an atmosphere where de-escalation can occur, thus, safeguarding the public and officer, and enhancing your agencies image.
